Report from North Africa:
In one Muslim country in northwest Africa, MMR has sent numerous teams over the past four years.  The clinics and follow-up work have led to a growing church planting movement.  What began in 2004 with fourteen known believers has grown into 14 house churches with hundreds of believers.  Such growth invariably catches attention – positive and negative alike.  Persecution has forced some field personnel to leave the country, and local believers have been questioned and detained by government officials.  MMR has suspended their work there for the time being.  Will you please pray with us for these local Christians to stand strong in the face of persecution?

New Work in South Asia:
MMR began sending teams into a new area in the fall of 2009.  The first team saw over 3300 patients in 9 days of clinics, working in grueling heat and overwhelming crowds. After the first clinic team left, the local church reported 45 new people attending services – including one Hindu priest!

A Story from East Asia:
“As we were coming to the end of the medical clinic day, one of our national workers asked me to walk with her through the village.  We ran into one of the patients we had seen earlier in the day and she invited us to her house.  We had no sooner arrived in the courtyard of the house below, than the national worker started sharing the Good News, wasting no time in frivolous talk.  Within 30 minutes, this young woman glowed with happiness after she had asked Jesus into her life.  Another lesson learned in the urgency of sharing His Love.”
