Prayer List

God's moving - Pray for God to move in a mighty way throughout the areas where MMR (North Africa, Middle East, Central Asia, and East Asia).

Salvations - Pray for God to open the hearts of the people to the one true gospel. Millions of people of the MMR areas have various religious beliefs and do not know our Lord and Savior. In the areas of MMR, the religions of anamism, ancestor worship, Islam, Buddhism, atheism, and many others are practiced. The one thing these areas have in common is that the saving Message of Jesus is not available in any way shape or form for more than 98% of these people. In the past few years, 500+ conversions, in 15+ people groups, in 7 countries, and many planted churches is taking place.

New believers - May God draw the new Christians near to Himself and guide them in their daily Christian walks giving them wisdom, courage and strength to be effective witnesses to their families and friends. Pray that they will be baptized and join together for Christian worship and fellowship.

Mature believers - May God raise up mature local Christians to be mentors to the new believers and effective witnesses to the seekers.

His leadership - Pray that God will show us the best way each day to serve Him.

Relationships - May we grow our circle of friends and share with them our best friend.

Traveling mercies - Pray for the safety of the missionaries, our indigenous training staff and the hired healthcare workers as they travel.

Health - The health of all involved in MMR including our family members is very important. Pray that God would grant us physical, spiritual and emotional health.

Understanding - Praise God that our language abilities are improving, for both the local staff and the missionaries.

Modern technology - Many hours are wasted on such inconveniences as computer problems and power outages.

Governments - Pray that the necessary governmental permissions will be granted and that police pressures against Christians will be relaxed in the future.

Curriculum development - A new basic curriculum has been completed which includes introductory lessons addressing environmental issues, agricultural improvements, and economic needs. It includes lessons on the common health problems of malnutrition, worms, diarrhea, prenatal and infant care, HIV/AIDS, IV drug users, poor sanitation, poor crops, contaminated drinking water, etc. Pray that this new curriculum will be used effectively, translated into the local language on time, and thoroughly evaluated for changes and improvements using a small training group.

Increased projects - May the Lord guide us in developing an urban model to be used in schools and factories as well as open more villages.

Improve existing projects - May the Lord guide us in evaluating, changing and improving the current training curriculums for a successful CPM.

Training staff - Praise God that for the first time, the indigenous training staff recently began conducting the basic training sessions independently of the missionaries. May the Lord add a Christian nurse and others to their number and give them wisdom, courage and confidence as they fulfill increasing responsibilities.

Training sessions - Pray for clear presentations and modeling of skills to the local healthcare workers at the multiple training sessions.

Relationships - Pray that the new relationships with the people will deepen and that the healthcare workers will be able to effectively share Jesus with them.

Healthcare staff - In the last few years, 300+ people attended at least one training session, but only about 80 are still involved. Pray that the right local female and male Christian healthcare workers will be employed at each startup site who will quickly catch the vision, learn the curriculum skills, effectively witness, and be committed for the long-term. At least 50 new CTT workers have been trained during 2006.

Project leaders - Pray for long-term project leaders who can speak the local language well and guide, assist and encourage the healthcare workers in developing the project to a CPM.

CPM leaders - Pray for more local Christian leadership and local partners to help in translation and discipleship for the new believers and seekers at the various sites.

Volunteers - Thank the Lord for the great US church volunteers who were part of site prep teams, medical lecture circuits, and medical clinics at the startup site areas.

Missionaries - Pray for the Lord's perfect leadership in the best use of career and short-term missionaries in this work. In the past, they have begun, developed and restarted the work.

Transition - Pray for the projects to transition into CPMs with local indigenous Christians in leadership.
